About Me
Hello!

My name is Kiera Jackson; I'm a recent graduate of Dartmouth College with a major in Biology modified with Engineering, and a minor in Human-Centered Design. The majority of the Biology classes I take are concentrated in Ecology, and the Engineering classes focus on the environment and design.
I'm a hands-on learner who enjoys creative collaboration, and one of my favorite parts of college is making meaningful connections with my peers and professors. Consequently, I took time off from school during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic to maximize in-person learning, and spent the better part of a year teaching skiing, interning at a solar company, and working in a Biology lab.
Here's how I've spent the past several months:
Summer 2022: supported our country's transition to full reliance on renewable energy while interning at Energy Impact Partners (venture capital for clean tech);
Fall 2022: practiced biomimcry design as an intern at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory;
Winter 2023: conducted original ecology research on a study abroad program in Costa Rica, Panama, and Little Cayman Island to complete my degree.

I'm looking for full-time work starting in May 2023. I am always up for a challenge, and I hope to work somewhere where I can improve my design skills and make a positive impact on the world.

I was a member of the varsity rugby team (2021 National Champions, 2019 & 2021 Ivy League Champions), I love to bike, hike, and snowboard, and am always game to adventure or try new things.
